Replacing a wear ring and impeller on a 2017 spark.
Last person to replace Wear ring put the anti rotation tab on the exhaust cooling intake pipe Instead of the pump housing and when the owner sucked a rock and broke the wear ring allowing it to move the tab has worn through the intake pipe. Looks like the intake pipe has to be replaced from the backside of the pump support plate from inside the hull per the service manual. Seems like sliding something over the pipe to seal it could be an alternative to replacing?
Anyone have any experience with this issue? Any input would be appreciated. Thank you.
